Barcelona V Atletico Madrid (in brief)

So i recorded this game from earlier and i don't have the patience to watch through everything... so i'm just skipping through.
To messi's first goal:
David villa... incredible miss by Villa gets deflected back to messi who scores it.
Villa should really have scored it himself, but whatever, i don't care, messi is amazing anyway.
What really amazes me is how barcelona players can let loose of their set positions and take on any role in defence or attack.
For some reason they pique has been penalised and free kick to alteti, even though he's done nothing.
I always worry that one day he's just going to become too much of a character against the ref and get a stright red.
It's good to see Puyol back on, his captaincy does make a difference to the team.
It sees theres often a lack of communication between Villa and the other strikers. but i'd say its hardly a step down from ibra.
I've decided i do like this away kit, it's the colour of mint chocolate chip ice cream...
Messi misses a shot, over shoots and slides across the floor in fatigue and dissapointment.
Alteti equaliser! Raul Garcia with a stunning goal! What a goal!
i have to admit i wouldn't actually mind if barcelona had lost this game, i reckon past players with the likes of Fernando Torres and Maxi Rodriguez has persuaded me that alteti is a good club. Plus i am quite fond of Diego Forlan.
Commentator is highlighting the fact that pique is the only one who's good in the air, and that it's where barcelona is vulnerable. they're pretty short as a team... aren't they...
what the shit are the white bits on the floor? they're everywhere! more on the barca end then the alteti end.
Dani Alves yellow carded. looking at the footage he really didn't do anything wrong...
That's what i love about Barca.. victor valdez defending a free kick with a smile on his face.
PIQUE SCORES! i'm in love with him. he's amazing. let's see the replay...
oh what control! he's so much more than a defender... you've gotta love his spirit...
and i know this is the end of all the goal scoring of the night... am tempted to just switch it off.
but i know how it ends for messi... what a shame. i feel so sorry for him, he's the kind of footballer that would be upset because
they're giving him 10 days off... i have a sinking feeling that it'll end up extended.
People need to stop ruining these games for me.
yeah i'm going to just skip to the end to look at messi's injury.
Okay last 10 minutes:
De Gea is actually quite good looking... only 19, just as i thought.
He could really have a great career in front of him. it's good to know spain has a chain of good keepers following the steps of casillas.
Valdez just got booked for wasting time.
I know i'd just cut out a whole chunk of the game but there's been a lot of bookings...
Oh messi here with an incredible miss.
Puyol gets booked. everyone just got booked. wtf.
and yet ANOTHER booking fot AT madrid... this is rediculous...
but to be honest they're not playing a gentle game either..
Why is Guardiola putting Javier Mascherano on 3 seconds before stoppage time?
okay 4 minutes of stoppage time... that's fucked up because if it had been 2 minutes or one minute messi wouldn't be injured.
I keep imagining all the scenearios and situations that could've prevented it from happening. It's like that time i fell and twisted my knee and had to miss my ski trip, if i hadn't gone to the bathroom or if i hadn't turned around then i could've had a great ski trip.
Messi's injury now... it doesn't look serious at first glance... but after a minute he's stull rolling in pain on the ground and you know it's fucked up.
the whole stadium booing Ujfalusi now.
They've taken off his boot, this is weird, the world's best footballer's feet on screen.
Bojan comes on for him.
Unfortuneatly for us Barcelona has 2 league games this week, which means the injury probably going to have a bigger affect than on any other week.
His hands are covering his face... i can't help but feel a huge sense of pity washing over me..
Barcelona need to win the next two games to make up for their loss against Hercules last week.
and now i feel somewhat guilty for not watching the whole game.
But i'm fucking tired.
and game tomorrow night, against sporting. Hopefully they'll do okay without Messi.
I will be blogging a replay probably. because i have better things to do on a wednesday night.
All in all: Pique has have a very impressive game. He played a huge part in this win, not only with the goal he scored, but in terms of blocking in defence and general play he has been spactacular.
I'm kind of confused about why Mascherano had even come on for iniesta.
Shame Diego Forlan didnt score, in fact, he hadn't made as big an impact as i expected.
Good game though, from what i gathered with my incredibly lazy ways of watching.
Hopefully Messi will recover in 10 days in time for next weeks Champions Legue matches.
