What a great game and amazing night it has been. and as they walk off the pitch it becomes apparent that messi is incredibly short. Shame he didn't score tonight. He's had a great game. Hope the injury isn't long lasting.

Barcelona Panathinaikos - lazy post

So basically i didn't have time to watch the game because i have a massive amount of work to do.
and i just watched the highlights.
But the good news is i learnt how to pronounce panathinaikos.

Pedro's first goal was excellent. Great corner delivery, great assist from Alves, and great timing. I would say almost perfect.

What's weird is that all the players on the subs bench with the exception of sergio busquets have white studs.

The second goal by Leo messi is also quite impressive. Adriano with a perfect assist. I'm glad that he was given a change to play, he's not normally seeing as much game time as he perhaps should.

Alexandros Tzorvas and Leo messi have a back and forth, in the sense that they'd played each other 3 times in the last few months. Once in the world cup with argentina v greece, where messi capatained, and twice with these two champion league matches. I don't imagine Tzorvas is a huge fan of messi, considering that messi had scored against him 3 times. It must suck to have to be a goal keeper against Leo Messi.

Adriano's shot is saved. What a shame, he is still to have his first goal with FC Barcelona. He's had a great performance in this game though.

Pedro again with another goal! These goals are so typically barca. Outworldly passing with excellent timing leading to beautiful goals. I have no idea why Pedro is rated as a one star player in PES 2010.

And that's all the goals.

So with this win Barcelona has advanced into the next round of the champions league at the top of their group with one game remaining in the group stage. I believe this means their next game is going to be incredibly chilled.
Let's hope they never meet real madrid or inter milan, until they absolutely have to.

Almeria Barcelona - hahaha.

So i forgot that my google homepage had football scores on it and accidently saw it before watching my recorded game.
and therefore i KNOW that real madrid is still ahead of barca before the match against the two. which is rather annoying to me.

I keep ruining my own games by googling the result before i go watch it on my dvr.

basically last night i watched the first half and now can't be bothered to rewatch it.
before half time:
1. leo messi and david villa both scored, although they did miss some oppertunities before.

2. they all look rediculous in their hot pink away kits. seriously, no one looks good in those colours.

So i was going to not blog this because it's 4 am and i'd hiked about 30km in the last 3 days.
i also came out 10 minutes late because i accidently set my alarm for 3.45 pm instead of am.
so when i got out it was 10 minutes in and leo messi had already scored from 3 minutes.
the score was then 1 - 0.
i would say now that sevilla are playing defensively.
at 23 minutes something amazing happend: david villa scored. finally. what a beautiful goal!
i don't understand now why puyol just got booked.
it's unfair because all he did was complain about the seville defence.
and also because he was just back from injury the last thing we want is him sent off with a match ban.
